Consignment
We sell it for you.
Your piece is photographed, listed, and shipped by us, and you earn a commission on the final sale price. We research comparable sales across marketplaces to price for the best return, and for pieces valued at $5,000 or more we set the price together.

On arrival, our experts authenticate the piece. Items that fail verification are returned (you provide a shipping label) or donated on your behalf.
- 04 — Payout
Buyouts are paid on verification. Consignment commissions are paid two weeks after the sale period closes; new payout periods begin each Friday.

- What is the difference between buyout and consignment?
- With a buyout you sell your piece to us directly and are paid within two business days of verification, with no commission or fees. With consignment we photograph, list, and ship the piece for you, and you earn a commission on the final sale price.
- How much do I earn on consignment?
- You earn 60% of the sale price under $300, 70% for sales from $300 to $2,499, and 80% for sales of $2,500 or more. A 2.9% processing fee applies to all commissions.
