Privacy Policy

01 — Overview
This policy explains what Archived Blood ("we", "us") collects when you use archivedblood.com, why, and where it goes.
02 — What We Collect
- Order information — your name, email address, shipping address, and what you bought. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Account information — if you create an account, your email address and sign-in credentials. Passwords are managed by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
- Authentication submissions — the item details, serial numbers, notes, and photographs you send us for examination.
- Correspondence — anything you send us directly, such as support emails.
- Usage data — collected by a privacy-focused analytics service that reports aggregate, anonymous metrics and sets no tracking cookies.
03 — How We Use It
- Processing and delivering orders, including order-related emails.
- Operating customer accounts and the authentication service.
- Issuing, maintaining, and verifying certificates of authenticity in the Archive.
- Preventing fraud and keeping the site secure.
- Understanding aggregate usage so we can improve the store.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
04 — Certificates Are Public Records
Certificates of authenticity — issued both for garments we sell and for items examined through the authentication service — are permanent, publicly verifiable records. Anyone holding a certificate's QR code or link can open its verification page, which shows the item's description, verdict, registration date, the photographs associated with the certificate, and a masked version of the owner's email address. If you submit an item for authentication, you accept that its photographs and verdict become part of that public record.
05 — Who Processes Data For Us
- Our payment processor — payment processing.
- Our database provider — database, image storage, and account sign-in.
- Our email service — transactional email delivery.
- Our hosting platform — hosting and analytics.
Each processes personal data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
06 — Retention
Order records and certificates are kept permanently — the Archive is, by design, a lasting record. Account information is kept while your account remains active. You may ask us to close your account, but we retain what we are required to keep for legal or tax purposes, and issued certificates are never deleted.
07 — Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data. To exercise any of these, email orders@archivedblood.com. Where erasure conflicts with a legal obligation or the integrity of the Archive, we will explain what we must keep and why.
08 — Cookies & Storage
We use only what the store needs to function: session cookies for account sign-in, and your browser's local storage for the shopping cart. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
09 — Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit, card data never touches our servers, and administrative credentials are held server-side only. No system is perfectly secure, but access to personal data is limited to what is needed to run the store.
10 — Children
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11 — Changes & Contact
We may revise this policy; the current version is always posted here with its date. Questions: orders@archivedblood.com.
